Register of pacemakers and implanted cardioverter-defibrillators in the Slovak Republic

The Register of pacemakers, implanted cardioverter-defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices of the Slovak Heart Rhythm Association is a continuously updated register of these procedures from 1993. In 2015, all 15 implantation centres entered the data into this register. Pacemakers: 3,664 units implanted, of which 2,810 were primary implantation, the equivalent of 518 units per 1 million inhabitants. ICD: 1,044 units implanted, of which 758 were primary implantation, the equivalent of 140 units per 1 million inhabitants. CRT: 588 units implanted, of which 388 were primary implantation (CRT-D 62,95 per cent, CRT-P 37,1 per cent), the equivalent of 70 units per 1 million inhabitants.
