Pôsobia antagonisty gonadoliberínu menej negatívne na kardiovaskulárny systém v porovnaní s agonistami?

Zníženie hladín testosterónu u pacientov s karcinómom prostaty, ktorí podstupujú androgén deprivačnú terapiu agonistami gonadoliberínu, môže byť spojené so zvýšeným rizikom kardiovaskulárnych príhod. Predpoklad, že antagonisty gonadoliberínu pôsobia menej negatívne na kardiovaskulárny systém v porovnaní s agonistami nie je definitívne potvrdený. Zdá sa, že liečba hormón senzitívneho karcinómu prostaty antagonistami gonadoliberínu môže byť vhodnejšia pre pacientov s kardiovaskulárnymi rizikovými faktormi alebo s anamnézou kardiovaskulárnych ochorení. V našej práci sumarizujeme aktuálne poznatky z klinických štúdií, ktoré riešia kardiotoxicitu antagonistov a agonistov gonadoliberínu.
