Expozóm a kardiovaskulárne ochorenia: Vplyv environmentálnych polutantov na srdcovocievne zdravie

Kardiovaskulárne ochorenia (KVO) predstavujú jednu z hlavných príčin morbidity a mortality na celom svete. Základné rizikové faktory kardiovaskulárnych ochorení, ako sú hypertenzia, dyslipoproteinémia, diabezita, diéta, fajčenie, stres, či nízka fyzická aktivita sa pravidelne rozoberajú v odbornej literatúre. V ostatných rokoch sa však čoraz častejšie diskutuje aj o vplyve životného prostredia a dlhodobom pôsobení rôznych exogénnych a endogénnych faktorov. Predkladaný prehľad rozoberá koncept expozómu a jeho vplyv na kardiovaskulárne ochorenie. Zároveň poukazuje na potrebu prevencie a možné strategické opatrenia.
