Kaválny filter - indikácie, extrakcie a komplikácie

Kaválny filter môže mechanickým zachytením embolu v dolnej dutej žile zabrániť pľúcnej embólii. Napriek nespornej efektívnosti v prevencii pľúcnej embólie u vybranej skupiny pacientov je jeho použitie spojené so značnou kontroverznosťou, najmä v posledných dvoch dekádach. Zavedenie extrahovateľných filtrov do klinickej praxe vyústilo do vzniku skupiny relatívnych indikácií a významne zvýšilo mieru implantácie kaválneho filtra. To samozrejme viedlo aj k neúmernému nárastu komplikácií. Účelom tohto článku je zosumarizovať najaktuálnejšie indikácie na zavedenie filtra, možné komplikácie súvisiace s používaním a extrakciou kaválneho filtra.
